REN ROBLES was born and raised in the Philippines, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University. His passion for theatre was sparked when he joined his university’s musical theatre group in his senior year. In the Philippines, Ren has performed in plays and musicals for various theatre groups such as Ateneo Blue Repertory (“High School Musical,” “Bat Boy: The Musical”), Dulaang UP (“Isang Panaginip na Fili”), and Repertory Philippines Children’s Theatre (“Aladdin,” “Mulan”). He then moved to Singapore in 2009. Apart from his day job, he has also written and directed two original one-act plays which were performed at the SPORE Art Salon, “All I Want” and “Intoxicated.” Ren made his onstage debut in Singapore in January 2014 with the critically-acclaimed “Take Me Out,” produced by Tim Garner Productions and directed by Paul Lucas.
